We have already found two issues and they will be fixed, repacked and relased first thing tomorrow. One issue is if you turn typing message off, it causes javascript errors amd you wont be able to see what the other person types. Also any people who are using a db prefix wont be able to upgrade until we fix a issue with that. Keep an eye open for version 1.8 RC2.

I just upgraded today and tested out email transscript and no email of the Transcript is arriving. Not sure if it is a bug. Please advise.

Whenever I try to go into the traffic monitor in IE I get the following JavaScript error:

Description:'null' is null or not an object
<url here>/admin/adminindex.php?action=settings&sub=monitor

It doesn't do that in Mozilla Firefox, also, I see the sound now works in Mozilla Firefox, I don't believe it had before.

I am also having the problem that sending the transcript of the session via email does not work.

Interestingly, when I create a new client (ASP version) the "welcome" email is sent, so that does seem to verify that our PHP email settings and our email server are happy with PHP-generated emails.

Since we run our own email servers, I've checked the server logs and they don't even show an SMTP session or connection attempt so it looks like the mail send of the transcript session is not even being attempted.

N.B. -- Because of the problems there sometimes can be with sending email, other commercial apps we use have a "send test email" screen in the admin functions that make it easy to send a message and see if it works instead of logging in as a user and working through to the point of being able to ask to have a transcript sent. That particular admin screen in the other app also displays onscreen a lot more detail about the email that is about to be sent (from, to, ports, server name, etc.) that often help debug problems quickly by showing all the settings and variables onscreen that the application is using.

Something like that here might help track down these problems faster.

RC3 is going to fix the emailing of transcripts issue. Look for it by the end of today.
