Yahoo store has this feature which I envy a lot. it basically allows you to review each transaction before charging their card instead of real -time authorization. Please read the details here with figures and etc. http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/store/order/process/process-02.html

I have been doing off-line manual credit card processing so far but obviously it requires a lot of data entry. I have always been uncomfortable with real time processing and this yahoo store feature is excellent in the sense that it combines these two. One does not have to enter data to the credit card software because their cart keeps the payment info on the server until you review and HIT "SALE" on the order page, then it completes the process automatically.

Is this available with Sunshop in any way? I guess not but I wanted to bring it up anyways?
Thanks

Yes it is available but only when using Authorize.net as a processor at the moment. You simply do a authorize when they order and then in the admin area you do a capture on the order.

Well with this you do not even authorize until the order is reviewed. Simply put what you are doing is adding a button to the order screen called "CHARGE" or "SALE" , all the information is received and stored at the server just like it would with the "off line CC module" , but when you review the order you click the "CHARGE" button if you think the order is legit and then cc processing takes place. this would be very beneficial when you think about it. Yahoo cart actually encourages merchants to do this and discourages real time auth. and explains in details why you should do this. It always made sense to me and it still does.

Which admin area are you referring to? Sunshop Admin Area or Authorize.net admin area? is capturing per transaction or is it by batch?

IN the sunshop admin area... but as I said it will only work with Authorize.net.
