Is there a way to show the regular price AND the sale price when i put an item on sale? currently it just shows the sale price or the regular price. I want my customers to be able to see on the product page that it is on sale and how much it normally is. i.e. if i sell an apple for $5 normally and have it on sale for $3 it will only show $3. So if it is your first time coming to my site or don't have my prices memorized than you would think that is the normal price. When the sale goes off and it is back to $5 people will think I raised my prices. That is very counter productive to having it on sale.

Thanks

Currently it does not work like that but we may get this added soon so it functions like previous versions.

I am also looking forward to seeing this feature added back into SS4. Having a strong retail background, I have learned that Was / Now pricing is extremely important in driving additional sales. Many customers are value driven. If there is a savings, they need to know the savings story. This also drives additional click traffic on those items which have a WAS / NOW pricing structure.

+1 request to display sale prices as they were shown in previous versions.

Ditto! This worked in my 3.5 version and I was just now trying to put things on sale and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't show it. Pretty PLEASE add it back soon! :D

yes I want it function like 3.5 as well. I know another thread people thought this was a bug but now it is clear that 4.0 lacks this feature. Thanks for listening and putting it back in.

I agree, vegvit. It's most important, when giving sale prices, to illustrate the regular prices so that people know what kind of deal they're getting.

It's a big sales point; you don't just mark down your prices without referring to the "real" price, as if it never existed. No -- you emphasize it, so that people will buy *now* -- which is the whole point of marking down prices.

I recently upgraded from 4.0.8 to 4.0.9 repack2 and experienced this problem. I was able to reverse it by replacing the 4.0.8 files I had on hand.

The reason why the prices arent showing up correctly is because you did not replace your templates as noted in the changelog.txt. Check the demo to see how it should properly display.

I just downloaded 4.0.9 and there was no changelog.txt

... never mind, I found it in docs. Thanks for the good documentation. :)
