featured products/ bestsellers

I am trying to integrate sunshop into a website for a client who wants a "featured product" area in the banner of each page. Unlike the bestsellers section which can be moved around, I can't seem to figure out how to put a featured product section outside of the main content area. Is there a way to put the featured product section outside the main content?

I'd also like a way of controlling the number of bestsellers that are listed. 3 max is appropriate for what I need. I'd also like it if an image appeared with the items.

I am not a php programmer, but am skilled enough as a web designer to move the obvious code around.

Actually, I just created a static section for this. My client won't be able to update it via admin.

You can create what you need with custom programming but unfortunately we don't offer that type of help. You may want to try posting in the modification forum if you still want aid in doing this.
