I have potentential customers open and account without actually placing an order. I do not receive a notification of this and the only way I know about it is if I go to the server online and look in the database. I would like to receive an email any time an account is opened. Then I could follow up and find out why no order or develop a relationship where there might be an order. The one who sets up the account receives an email so a copy to me would be great. Thanks.

Another MAJOR reason to have this functionality would be so that we could add those who sign up to the specific "Group" they need to be in.

For Example:
I have a "Wholesale" group. So let's say a wholesale customer signs up, but doesn't purchase anything. They just wanted to sign up with us.

Now, unless I am notified that they signed up I can't add them to the "Wholesale" group.

So, when they come back a day or 2 later and decide to purchase they will see the default pricing and not the wholesale pricing I have on my products for wholesalers. Because of this they will have to call and/or email me in order to get the right pricing.

This adds steps to a process that are definitely unnecessary.

Can TWT please address this issue.

Hi Joe,

Yes, I would be willing to share, although it is a somewhat "simple" modification I'm a bit hesitant to due to issues that could be caused if not implemented exactly right. I can't assume responsibility nor provide support for any mistakes that could be made and cause certain issues. Not to mention that upgrades would overwrite this if you are not careful when doing an upgrade.

I can say that it does work great. With every person who signs up without ordering...I (admin) get a copy of the email with "Notification of New Account" in the subject line.

With that said I can work up an instructional document that would give you a step-by-step of how this was achieved, although I am juggling quite a few projects now and I don't know when I'd be able to get to it, since it's not a real (pay) priority for me with my current work schedule.

Ok the "New Account Notification eMail" documentation is ready to go.

If you would like a copy simply send an email to:

sunshop@kingdesignstudio.com

This solution has only been tested and works on Sunshop 4.1.x
If you do use it and are successful with it's functionality please let me know.
