Hello,
I am running version 1.7, and I was a victim of a security flaw that allowed someone to spam. Can you please provide a link to a security patch?
Thanks.

We do not have a patch for any version older then 1.8. We would recommend upgrading to the latest 1.8.1 or 2.0 version anyway to fix a more serious security issue.

I do not have a copy of 1.8, just 1.7. Can you create a patch for 1.7 or give downloading rights to 1.8? Thanks.

You will need to purchase extended access to the upgrades in order to get access to 1.8 and newer.

You have an obligation to fix faulty scripts.
If a car company makes a car with the same problem in all, they have an obligation to fix it. They issue a recall.
This script is useless to me, as I cannot run safely without a fix from you.

You are correct, we do have an obligation to fix the faulty script, but using your own example you cannot expect a car company to recall cars that are 10 years old that they have found a problem in! In this case you have an out-dated version of the software and had a choice to renew the license for support and free upgrades/updates when it originally expired. You still do have that choice. In case you do not know, the renewal fee is half of the original purchase price.
