I myself have had problem until I found and tried what this post said to do.

http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?t=151170

It says

First of all, get the 1.0 release from www.mozilla.org

Next, you can't install Quicktime from the Firefox update manager. You need to download it from www.apple.com/quicktime. It has the player and the plugin, you have to install the player. When its installing, make sure it doesn't hijack any associations.

Next, open Quicktime through the start menu. Go to Edit -> Preferences --> Quicktime Preferences. Choose Browser Plug-in from the dropdown box, go to MIME settings, and check the vox for video, audio, MPEG, and MP3. I found that Quicktime plays these in Firefox much better than WMP does. That should do it. The problem is that the MIMEtypes are not associated with Quicktime on your computer, and that is why firefox complains.

This solved it for me, and hope it helpps other out!!!
