My PHP Live Helper install fails on step #4 of the installation process. Here is the error I receive:
"There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser. An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists. We apologize for any inconvenience."
I am familiar with setting up the config file for the Sunshop Cart. So, I am fairly confident that I have the config file for the PHP Live Helper setup correctly as well.
The PHP Live Helper manual instructions in the docs folder does not exactly match or describe correctly the files and folders associated with setting up the config file.
In section 1-A the config file is said to be located in the admin directory then in section 1-B it is said to be located in the aspadmin directory. This is no big deal but confusing.
In section 1-B it says to do the following to the config file: If this is a new fresh install
be sure to uncomment the deprefix2 line by removing the "//" before it.
In the config file I have there is no such line. However, there is this line // $abs_path = "/home/users/mysite/phplivehelper/"; I would assume that on a new install I would uncomment this line.
I have attempted to install PHP Live Helper on two different servers and have the same error message on both of them. Any suggestion on how to resolve this issue?
