I've installed the new 1.8 rc3 which is supposed to fix the transcript email function and now it doesn't work at all.
If the user that initiates the chat clicks the "logout" button, nothing happens. The chat window closes but he does not get the new window asking if he wants an email copy of the transcript.
Also, if the operator clicks "end chat" from the operator window, the user sees the following:
Chat session was closed by Firstname Lastname.
Click here to email this chat transcript.
Chat session was closed unexpectedly.
It seems strange to say "session closed by operator name" but then have another line that says "session was closed unexpectedly."
Note that even in this case, if the user clicks on the "email this chat" link, nothing happens.
